When it comes to mud riding, horsepower matters. That's why the Maverick 1000 X® mr boasts the 101-hp Rotax® 976 cc V-Twin engine. Because in a mud hole, best-in-class power separates you from the pack. This NEW package takes all the groundbreaking innovations of the Can-Am Maverick and optimizes them for the ultimate mud-riding experience.
Standard Features May Include
The 976cc, 101-hp Rotax® 1000R V-Twin engine is Can-Am's most powerful side-by-side engine. This liquid-cooled, single-overhead-cam power plant features four valves per cylinder and is fed by a 54mm Bosch8 throttle body and two sophisticated VDO Siemens8 fuel injectors.
This electronic throttle-by-wire system works in conjunction with the 54mm Bosch8 throttle body to produce smooth delivery, even if the driver's foot is bouncing due to rough terrain. The iTC system detects unwanted bounces and filters the input. Comes with a progressive and sport mode.
When an engine breathes easier, it can produce more horsepower. So we optimized air intake, combustion, and exhaust flow. Larger intake plenum, high-flow heads, larger valves, increased compression ratio, and high-flow dual exhaust all contribute to this more powerful and efficient engine.
The Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) system showcases a Zylon-reinforced belt, a material with 1.6 time higher tensile strength and increased belt rigidity in compression compared to a regular belt, keeping it cooler. A redesigned drive pulley with increased diameter for extra durability.The CVT of the Maverick X mr also features an improved L-gear with more torque to the wheels and a softer engagement to avoid getting stuck in mud.
